Are you using TrustedLink iSeries (EDI400) and are looking to upgrade your OS/400 to V6R1? Then you have nothing to worry about, you just need to plan the steps you need to take to ensure this upgrade goes smoothly.
If you are TrustedLink iSeries (TLi) version 6.2.1 or 6.3, then this is already compatible with V6R1 and you are ready to go.
If you are on TLi version 6.1.x or 6.2.0, then contact your Inovis Support team and ask for the “i5/OS V6R1 Operating System Patch”. Apply this before you upgrade your OS to V6R1.
If you are on TLi V5 or EDI400 V2 (Preminos), there are upgrade paths to migrate you to TLi V6, so your existing EDI system can be used on the latest OS as well.
Were you also aware that IBM has already announced the end of Support for V5R3 at the end of April 2009?
So if you are running OS/400 lower than V5R4 you should talk with your IBM representative to arrange for an upgrade.
